Due to the vast amount of information available via the web, no single index can possibly contain links to every resource. However, web indexes can include hundreds, even thousands, of resources.

Because some web indexes list so many resources, they provide a search capability to help users locate resources within the index. Here is an example of a search for "learning disabilities" within the education category of Yahoo!TM.
