====== Mainboard Asus P5S800-VM ======

There is a problem with this motherboard and Linux: issuing the ''**reboot**'' command the computer hangs just after the message:

I tested it with a Debian and 2.6.8 kernel, Knoppix 4.0.2 and Puppy Linux 1.0.7. I tried several advised workaround, but **with no luck**:

  * ''**CONFIG_APM_REAL_MODE_POWER_OFF**'' kernel option
  * ''**CONFIG_ACPI_POWER**'' kernel option
  * ''**pci=noacpi**'' boot parameter

Chipset is SiS 661FX, SiS 964, latest BIOS revision (ASUS 1015).

Finally we found a fix for this crappy piece of hardware: just add the BootPrompt parameter **reboot=b** into the GRUB or LILO configuration file.
