How to activate laptop hibernation with Debian Jessie:

  * Verify that swap partition is bigger than RAM memory (hint: use the **''free''** command).
  * Use the **''blkid''** command to get the UUID of the swap partition.
  * Verify that **''/etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume''** indicates the right UUID.
  * Run the **''update-initramfs -k all -u''** command.
