15 Minute Series What is WAIS?


Once the search has been executed, all items containing the words appearing in the search phrase will be returned to the user, provided that the words in the search phrase appear in the indexes of the selected databases.

For example, if the search phrase consisted of "standardized testing," WAIS will retrieve all items from the chosen databases that contain the word "standardized" even if the items have nothing to do with testing, and vice-versa.
